Manufacturing Engineer
Our Client is a leading supplier of innovative plastic products to world class customers in the healthcare, automotive and industrial sectors.
The Group has manufacturing operations in Ireland, the US and the Czech Republic.
Our Client now wishes to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement activity in its Healthcare Division .

THE PERSON
A proven track record in continuous improvement within the medical device/healthcare industry is essential.
Previous experience in operations, project management or engineering within the plastics industry will be advantageous. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years relevant experience and a degree in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline.
The position requires an Engineer with leadership, innovation & problem solving skills.

THE POSITION
Reporting to Group Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Candidate will lead a step change improvement in manufacturing processes and systems.

DUTIES
Key Responsibilities will include
- Providing technical leadership on product and process issues
- Driving continuous improvement activities using Statistical Engineering techniques, design of experiments etc.
- Introducing manufacturing practices and procedures which comply with ISO 13485
- Use of scientific problem solving techniques to maximise equipment efficiency and effectiveness
- Introducing new products with emphasis on process reliability and validation
